Mia Fazle Karim, FCA, is the Managing Partner of Mahfel Huq & Co. and a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB).

Before joining Mahfel Huq & Co., he served as the Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of Crystal Insurance Company PLC. Following his tenure as CEO, he continued as Chief Consultant at the same company.

With extensive experience in the insurance sector, Mr. Karim held top-level management positions for over 15 years at Eastland Insurance Company Limited and City General Insurance Company Limited. At Eastland Insurance, he joined as Controller of Accounts and progressed to Senior Executive Vice President (F&A) before being promoted to Deputy Managing Director & CFO. Prior to that, he served as Chief Accountant at City General Insurance Company Limited.

Currently, Mr. Karim is an Independent Director of Hamid Fabrics PLC.

His expertise spans auditing, accounting, fund flow analysis, tax compliance, budgetary control, and financial management. Over the years, he has supervised audits and financial operations for insurance companies, banks, and publicly listed corporations.

Mr. Karim has also traveled extensively to various countries, including Turkey, the USA, Thailand, India, and Nepal, enriching his global perspective on business and finance.
